When Ferrari rolled out the F430 in 2005, it departed from the long history of mid-engine V8 models tracing a lineage to the legendary Dino. Instead, this Pininfarina-designed supercar featured an all-new F136 V8 with a flat-plane crank, dry-sump lubrication, and exactly nothing shared with the outgoing 360 Modena.

Loaded with touches to famed Ferraris of the past - 156 F1-inspired front air intakes, side mirror etching à la Testarossa, and Enzo-like tail lamps - the F430 was as incredible then as it remains today. Today’s Spider example ratchets up the desirability by keeping that glorious red-headed V8 in view even when the top is down.
